9+ Christmas Bars in Marietta to Get You In the Holiday Spirit

There’s no way to celebrate the holiday season quite like a Christmas bar, where local watering holes deck the halls with lights and seasonal drinks. The trend has been big throughout the Atlanta area in the past few years and Marietta is certainly making its mark as well.

EL Super Pan, The Battery

The Puerto Rican restaurant will be sharing traditions from the island, including coquito, spiked hot chocolate, and house-made pasteles.

Hamp & Harry’s, Marietta Square

Now with expanded space and an upstairs bar, Hamp & Harry’s is the most popular spot in Marietta to dine during the holidays, this time decorated for The Nutcracker. Make reservations in advance to enjoy the festive decor, themed cocktails, and, of course, small plates and entrees you’re sure to enjoy. It’s being offered through New Year’s.

Melt Yard follows a theme inspired by the series Home Alone starting November 15 with wild decor, specialty drinks, and food. Guests can enjoy the onsite arcade. Reservations are not offered for large parties during the pop up.

Gianni & Mac’s, Marietta

Apres ski is the theme at the new Italian restaurant, where you can enjoy the full menu of pizza and pasta, alongside festive drinks and photo ops.

Schoolhouse Brewing, Marietta

Schoolhouse Brewing is covered in lights for “How the Grinch Stole Schoolhouse,” a pop-up with cozy vibes and special beers for the season, including the Who Hash New England IPA and Cindy Lou’s cranberry sour. No reservations are required.

The Third Door, Marietta

The Third Door, a former garage-turned speakeasy, will be hosting the fourth-annual “Church Street Vacation,” a National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation-themed installation. Lights will cover the patio with specialty cocktails and photo ops. Reservations are only available for the Bearcat Lounge, the camping trailers. It runs through January 3.

Three Amigos, Marietta

The Marietta Mexican restaurant will become ‘How the Grinch Stole 3 Amigos,” a Grinch-inspired pop up with family fun, food, drink, and decor. The installation runs from November 28 to January 7.

Three Roses Tavern, Marietta

The restaurant Three Roses Tavern will be inspired by the movie Elf, with themed decor and, of course, drinks modeled after the offbeat treats Buddy enjoys.

Tinsel Tavern, The Battery

During the holidays, Live! at the Battery transforms into Tinsel Tavern, a world of lights and tinsel, with specialty cocktails and seasonal small bites. There are also themed nights throughout the month, including an ugly sweater competition, sip and paint, holiday karaoke, and a silent disco.

Fresh off its Halloween pop up, Two Birds has decorated for the holidays under the theme “Snowed In,” with specialty cocktails like the Cranberry Sauced and Filthy Animal.
